Turkey’s new Defence Minister

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu announced on 3 July that former Minister for Defence Mr.Vecdi Gönül is to be Turkey’s new Defence Minister, after İsmet Yılmaz left the role for the post of parliament speaker on 1 July.Mr.Vecdi Gönül previously acted as Defence Minister between 2002 and 2011.
